We will leave the government

"If the Government doesn't take actions to abolish the Presidential powers before a Presidential Election and implement the 17th amendment then we are moving from the government".the jathika Hela Urumaya (JHU) vise President ven. Athureliye Rathana himi said


the government and the higher officials were informed on behalf and no action had been made which made us come to this decision.

He further said that they would support any common candidate who will accept their conditions. The final decision would be announced on the 14th,

As a main constituent party of the government JHU demand the government to abolish the Presidential powers and implement the 17th Amendment. the government had failed to accept the proposals forwarded.

In such a back ground its nit a wise decision to stay with the government and protect it,So we had decided to move from the government.
