Actress Veena Malik sentenced to 26 years in jail for blasphemy in Pakistan

A Pakistan court on Tuesday sentenced the owner of the country’s biggest media group to 26 years in prison for broadcasting a show it said was blasphemous.
The morning show broadcast live on Geo TV in May featured Pakistani starlet Veena Malik dancing with her new husband while a group of Sufi musicians sang a devotional song about the wedding of the Prophet Muhammad’s daughter.

Selena Gomez’s ‘teary’ new video has her crying over split with Bieber

In a surprise new video, American pop singer Selena Gomez is seen getting emotional and shedding some tears over (presumably) her split with Justin Bieber. The video, The Heart Wants What It Wants, was shot almost a year ago when she hit a rough patch with the singer.

Ever since releasing on Thursday, the video has earned more than 35 million views. Gomez can be heard having an emotional discussion, about her relationship with Bieber in the first minute of the dramatic music video.

Johny Says He Has No Regrets Over Lashing Out At Ranjan

Minister of Co-operatives and Internal Trade Johnston Fernando has said that he has no regrets whatsoever about the manner in which he addressed UNP Parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake during a political talk show on Hiru TV last week.

The minister was criticized for using abusive language in his speech as he lost temper in the face of allegations leveled against the government by the UNP Parliamentarian.

One way traffic between Wellawatte-Kollupitiya

Police would implement one way traffic between Wellawatta to Kollupitiya along the Marine Drive in the morning and evening during weekdays starting tomorrow due to ongoing road repairs along the road.

According to the new plan, road between Nelson Road junction to Charliment Road junction on the Marine Drive will be allowed for motorists travelling towards Colombo between 7 a.m. to 9.30 a.m.

Ratnapura Police officer reinstated
